Forget New Year's Resolutions!

Let us stop lying to ourselves and other by making resolutions each year. Year after year, we get into the same habit. I promise this year I'm going to XYZ. Then two or three weeks later that feeling has passed. That's why I am saying, "Forget New Year's Resolutions!" People feel they have to make promises this time of year because it sounds good. i.e losing weight.

Stop the lies and delusions! How many people actually stick with what they resolve to do for the New Year? Don't get me wrong, people have the best intentions but then reality hits and things fall through. I honestly think for some it's just plain laziness that stops them.

This year I said to heck with a resolution; instead, I am setting goals. I'm setting goals for this year and chucking the idea of a resolution. I'm not lying to myself and making any promises. I'm just setting goals and working from there.

Oh, there will be no new year, new me. No, we should all strive daily to be a better person. That's a post for another day.

What goals are you setting for 2014?
